Known Species
Knypersley Reservoir is a well known bream water. Bags of over 200lb can easily be caught when the reservoirs in form. To back up the bream, are big roach, perch and quite a few pike. There are some carp present, although there aren't many, making them difficult to catch. Overall, Knypersley is without doubt, a specimen fishery with many large fish of different species present.
Extra Rules/Conditions
Victoria & Biddulph A.S. do not solely own the fishing rights to Knypersley Reservoir. They are owned by Cheshire and North Staffordshire Angling Association (CNSAA). Victoria & Biddulph A.S. make up one of the 17 share holders of CNSAA. Therefore, anglers may fish Knypersley from any of the 17 different share holding clubs permit. Directions and Parking
From Biddulph take the A527 and head towards Tunstall. Just after the Mill Hayes Road turning, (on the left), turn left into Childerplay Road . From here follow the road past the entrance to Bemersley Public Household Waste & Recycle Centre, and take the first left following the sign for Greenway Bank Country Park . This road leads to both car parks. From Tunstall, follow the A527 towards Biddulph. Just after Brindley Ford, turn right into Bemersley Road . At the top of this road, turn right into Childerplay Road . Follow the road, past Bemersley Public Household Waste & Recycle Centre, and take the first left following the sign for Greenway Bank Country Park . Follow this road past the entrance to Greenway Bank Country Park , down the hill. Just before you get to the bottom of the hill, the first car park is on the right or you can park on the dam, which is at the bottom of the hill. A path leads around the reservoir, with tracks leading down to the pegs.
