Membership to Victoria & Biddulph Angling Society is open to any member of the public with no joining fee. Full permits are available from (please note night permits are available from committee meetings only) :-

- Terry's of Congleton - Lawton Street, Congleton
- Knypersley Post Office - Situated by Knypersley traffic lights, Stoke on Trent.
Victoria & Biddulph Angling Society have a set rule list for all waters. However certain extra rules exist for individual waters. These extra rules can be found on that waters page. The main block of rules is as follows:-
1.15- Fishing is from dawn till dusk on all waters. (However, 24 hour fishing is availible on The Cricket Ground, Victoria Pool and Havelock Pool to senior and veteran members providing they register at a monthly committee meeting at no extra cost)
1.11- All juveniles must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them.
1.14 – No cereal type Groundbaits to be used except as hookbaits on Mill Hayes pools only.
3.2- Members must be tidy and encourage others to do the same.
3.6- No member shall fish with more than 2 rods at any one time.
3.1- Anglers must restrict their activities to the waters edge and must not damage crops or hedges. Anyone found leaving litter or causing any nuisance on any of the society's waters is liable to be expelled. The parking of cars, picnicking or in any other way trespassing upon the land of the owners from whom the fishing is rented is not covered by the society's water is strictly prohibited.
3.7- Bloodworm, tiger nuts, kidney beans, peanuts and trout pellets are barred (Boilies banned on some waters)..
3.11- Groundbaits and pellets etc. should be used in moderation.
3.8- No live bait allowed.
3.9- No tin cans or alcohol allowed at pool side.
3.12- No fishing in marked restricted areas.
3.13- Fishing from pegs only.
3.14- Only one member per peg is allowed. (Juniors may fish on the same peg as a senior).
3.15- Anglers who are ‘specimen fishing' are recommended to use an unhooking mat and an appropriate sized landing net.
3.16- Barbless hooks are recommended.
