Work Parties

Every year, members of VBAS are asked to help out with the general maintainance of the pools through work parties. We run usually 2 a year on the pools that need the work. They are run on the basis that if the members can do the maintainance or at least some of the maintainance, then the permit price can be less due to less costs. Work parties are rewarding to members in the way of they become more of a part in the club and we usually make an extra effort to reward them for their help.

Over this next year, we ask members not to turn up on particular dates, but to help out whenever they have chance. We ask if you could keep the waters controlled and tidied by making sure fellow anglers are abiding by the rules and to clean any litter that may have been left. As I'm sure you'll see on visits to the waters, work will be being done on pegs, pathways and surrounding vegitation following instruction by the committee. Please be aware that we may need to close a water for a period of time to carry out work.

2007 - Work is currently being done on the Cricket Ground Pool. The pool will remain open during the work so please take extra care. Make sure to read notice boards for any further instructions regarding safety.
